Four steps. One team. No handoffs, no chasing, no surprises. This is the process behind almost five decades of care. The Harkel Blueprint is Harkel's four-step commercial furniture process, Discover, Design, Display, Deliver, carrying every project from the first conversation to the finished space.
The solution: Almost five decades of carrying that challenge produced Harkel’s own way of working: a proprietary process called The Harkel Blueprint. Four steps, one team, and no part of your project left to chance.
The deadline is real, the budget is being watched, and the people who will use the space are counting on you to get it right. Most clients arrive carrying some version of that weight, across every vertical and every scale. This page is the answer to it.
It starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. Your advisor walks your space or your plans, listens for how the room actually gets used, and maps scope, budget range, and timeline in plain terms. You leave the first meeting with an honest read: what it will take, what it will cost, and when it can land.
The Harkel Design Support Studio turns that read into something you can see: 2D space plans, 3D visualization, and colour renderings, priced live across 60+ top vendors, entry level to high end, the majority Canadian-made. Every recommendation carries a reason, so approvals happen with eyes open.
Before anything is ordered, you see it. Finishes in hand at the showroom, your space in realistic 3D beside an honest quote, and installation-ready drawings your stakeholders can approve on sight. Surprises are designed out here, on screen and in samples, never on site.
Made-to-order manufacturing is tracked piece by piece, delivery is sequenced around your people, and installation is run by crews who treat your space like their name is on it. The room is finished, checked, and cleaned, and then Harkel stays: the deficiency sweep, the warranty checks, and the aftercare that follows every install.
The Harkel Blueprint is our four-step process for furnishing your space: Discover, Design, Display and Deliver. We assess your needs, plan the space, show it to you in 3D, then install it end to end. One team owns the whole project, so you get one clear path from first sketch to final install.
Yes. In the Display phase, Harkel shows you your finished space in true-to-life 3D and walks you through it live, in person or online. You see exactly how it will look, flow and feel before anything is ordered, so your budget is never committed to a layout you have not approved.
The Harkel Design Studio works in AutoCAD and CET Designer to produce precise 2D floor plans, furniture specifications and finishes. You receive drawings built to your exact space and standards, plus true-to-life 3D renderings, so every decision is based on your real floor plan, not a generic template.
In the Deliver phase, one Harkel team phases your installation around how you operate, working evenings, weekends or zone by zone. Access and logistics are checked up front, and we close out with a walkthrough and punch list, so your space is ready to use with minimal disruption.
It depends on the size and scope, but Discover moves fast: a one to two hour site visit, then a costed plan within days. Design, Display and Deliver follow your timeline, and Harkel works to firm deadlines with dependable lead times, so you always know what happens next and when.
