workplace project
The A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse in Brampton needed furniture that could carry the demands of a busy judicial building. The brief spanned three very different environments in one project: courtrooms where people sit for long hours, administrative offices that need real storage, and high-traffic public areas where the public has to navigate and wait, all specified to institutional durability and accessibility standards.
Harkel furnished the courtrooms, offices and public spaces as a single coordinated programme. Jury seating was selected specifically for comfort through long deliberations, workstations were specified with ample storage for administrative staff, and furniture in the public areas was laid out to make the building easy to move through. The result is a courthouse that holds up to constant public use while supporting the people who work in it.
Harkel Office has furnished workplaces across the Greater Toronto Area since 1979. Tell us about your space.
